Direction / Sound design

Our art’s highest expression, reflected in the creation, transformation and evolution of sounds, directed to serve the unique narrative of every audiovisual project. Our sound direction always goes hand in hand with the project’s thematic and descriptive needs. This is why we are responsible to lead, in coordination with the film director, every creative and technical aspect related to sound during all stages of the project. We design workflows, timetables, optimized budgets and technical documents in order to create our own concept that exploits the most of any possible sound expression.


Music and Scoring

Music and Scoring
Music is considered one of the most important layers of sound to accomplish an integral soundtrack that is able to dialogue, merge and breathe with the story’s narrative possibilities. When the processes of music scoring and sound direction are done together from the beginning to end, our projects achieve excellent results.


Dialogue Editing   

 The Dialogue Editor has a huge responsibility in the soundtrack’s final result of an audiovisual project. For example, when dialogue editing is done consciously, sound resources such as effects and ambiences can be used to enrich the narrative, instead of using them to cover problems and deficiencies left by improper location recordings or poor dialogue editing. We work with the best dialogue editors in Colombia for fiction as well as for documentaries, which translates into project optimization and reduced mixing times as well as ensure excellent and clear story-driving dialogue lines.


Cedar Audio Restoration

In our pursuit to achieve excellent dialogue sound quality for our audiovisual projects, we have the best technology equipment and software options for dialogue restoration and noise suppression: The Cedar DNS 1500 and RX 6 Suite, With these systems we can guarantee that dialogue editing and premixing processes are always optimized, thus positively reflecting it in the final mix. It also allows us to offer the best solutions to problems regarding audio restoration for archive footage and audiovisual heritage.


ADR – Dubbing – Source Connect.

In our projects, it’s often necessary to rely on dubbing to improve or correct technical issues or acting intentions. Within our facilities, we have a Vocal Booth space designated for these tasks, with the option to establish remote connections to any studio worldwide through SOURCE CONNECT technology.

Ambience sound editing

The ambience sound editing is a key element when a project’s sound design is conceived. Just as a painter must prepare the canvas, the foundation, and texture for his artwork, we sound designers devote the necessary time to create textures, atmospheres, and universes that create unique landscapes and identities in the stories we tell; not only for fiction but also for documentary projects.


Sound effects editing – Synthesis

The design and editing of sound effects is just as fundamental as the other layers of sound. We exploit all available resources such as synthesis, programming, real source recording, and sound library editing to create individual sound effects that consolidate each story’s identity.


Foley design, recording and editing

Beyond becoming a quality standard and a necessary resource for distribution and international sales, the art of Foley is a great tool to accomplish a sound identity that faithfully complements our projects’ narrative intentions.


Direct sound recording

Location or Field recording (direct sound) is the main source of material we work with. Yet very often, it’s very difficult, dangerous, or expensive to return to a specific location and recapture the only sound reference available. With that in mind, we have created alliances with professional sound recordists in Colombia and abroad, thus allowing us to be in complete control of the sound capture process, and guaranteeing the highest sound quality. By doing this, we have established an accurate communication and supervision channel throughout the entire sound department from pre-production to post-production, that allows us to work in the same direction and maintain a consistent sound design that further enhances your project’s story.
